Join India’s forex & money-transfer fraternity

FEMTA offers three categories of membership. Choose the one that fits you, review what it involves, then apply online — fill the form, upload your documents, and track the review to approval.

Prime Membership

₹5,000

For RBI-licensed money-changing companies.

Registered companies/entities engaged in the money-changing business, duly licensed by the Regulator (RBI). The entity is represented by up to two authorized persons designated by the company.

Who can apply
  • A registered company/entity in the money-changing (forex) business.
  • Holds a valid RBI licence (FFMC / AD-Category II).
  • Represented by a maximum of two authorized persons.

Associate Membership

₹1,000

For individuals affiliated with a FEMTA member company.

Individuals affiliated with a member company who seek to engage with FEMTA for market insights and participation in industry activities — branch heads, franchise owners, employees and authorized representatives.

Who can apply
  • Affiliated with an existing FEMTA member company.
  • Branch head, franchise owner, employee or authorized representative.
  • Requires a No-Objection Certificate (NOC) from the member company.

Affiliate Membership

₹2,500

For independent forex-industry professionals.

Individuals who are not affiliated with any member company but have a professional link to the forex industry — independent consultants, auditors, legal & compliance advisors, ex-regulators, and trainers — wishing to engage with FEMTA for knowledge enrichment and industry awareness.

Who can apply
  • Not affiliated with any FEMTA member company.
  • A professional link to the forex industry (consultant, CA/CS, auditor, compliance, ex-regulator, trainer).
  • Able to evidence the profession with a certificate / licence.

How approval works. The Executive Committee reviews every application. Membership is valid only after the Board’s approval. The membership fee is paid by bank transfer (no cash) and is annual (calendar year, January–December). Fees are non-refundable except in exceptional cases. You’ll be asked to sign in or create a free account before you apply.

Eligibility

  • Prime — a registered company/entity in the money-changing business, duly licensed by the RBI (FFMC / AD-Category II), represented by up to two authorised persons.
  • Associate — an individual affiliated with a member company (branch head, franchise owner, employee or authorised representative).
  • Affiliate — an independent professional with a link to the forex industry (consultant, auditor, CA/CS, compliance professional, ex-regulator, trainer).
  • A commitment to full compliance with the regulator's guidelines and FEMTA's code of conduct.

How to apply & pay

Create a free account, choose your membership type and complete the online application — fill the form, upload your documents and submit. The Executive Committee reviews every application; membership is valid only after the Board's approval.

Fees are paid by bank transfer only (no cash). Membership runs by calendar year (January–December) and is renewed annually. Membership fees are non-refundable, except in exceptional cases considered by the Executive Committee.
